FLADA

FLADA was founded in 1978 and brings together five aerosol-producing countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, México and Venezuela. Ninety-five percent of regional aerosol production is concentrated in three countries: Brazil, Argentina and México.
11th Latin American Aerosol Congress
FLADA has entrusted Cámara Argentina del Aerosol (CADEA) with the organization of the 11th Latin American Aerosol Congress, an event that will take place this month, Sept. 13–14 at the Goldencenter Exhibition Center in the city of Buenos Aires. The Aerosol Congress is the main event of the Latin American aerosol industry and it brings together many national and international players. Over two days, the expo will allow exhibitors to show and promote their products, technology, innovations, machines and services.
At the same time, the congress will host a series of conferences where global professional and technical experts will speak on fundamental industry topics: market trends, innovation, technology, sustainability and the environment. The Academic Congress Committee developed a two-day series of conferences; the complete agenda is available at aerosolargentina2023.com. Within the series, we have also included dedicated conferences concerning pharmaceutical aerosols and the medicinal market, to promote their development in the continuing evolution of the Latin American aerosol market.
LINDAL
In November, LINDAL—manufacturer of valves, actuators and spray caps used in aerosol products—opened a new facility in Jundiaí, Brazil. LINDAL invested €14 million ($13.3 million) in the 12,000 square meter facility, which encompasses a number of innovative construction features for greater flexibility and future capacity expansion. Semipermanent thermos panel walls allow the structure to expand and house up to 250 employees and the
entire floor of the building uses 10T floor resistant concrete to accommodate a variety heavy industrial machinery.
The new building has also been accredited with an EDGE certificate from Green Business Certification Inc.—the first industrial building in the whole of Brazil to receive this accreditation, according to the company. Zero waste generated at the plant is sent to landfill and a series of energy and water-saving measures has been incorporated. “This new site emphasizes our commitment to the growing Brazilian aerosol market,” noted Moacir Camargo, Managing Director of LINDAL do Brasil. “We are looking forward to serving our key customers in the region and it is positive that we have the capacity to evolve alongside demand.”
